Common

Nearly everyone knows Common to some degree. The language isn't quite as deep or nuanced as a real language would be. It's used mostly as a trade tongue. Almost everyone can hold at least a basic conversation in Common and speaks it as at least a second language.

In more remote regions people get by with it, but it's spoken more poorly there.

The language is derived from the old common tongue, Thorass. Its speakers have since disappeared. What remains is the alphabet it left behind.
