Ruler: Orc King Obould.
Council:

  • Snakha, Obould's shaman and head of the priesthood
  • Nargulg, Obould's war chief. Commands 7000 orcs.
  • Snugug, chief Law-Warden who ensures Obould's word is law
    • Several law-wardens, who see that the law is followed
  • Gorlag, Obould's spymaster
  • Marfu, Obould's quartermaster and chief of logistics
  • Mabub, warden of prisoners

Obould's generals:
Duluk, commands 6000 orcs
Azhug, commands 5000 orcs
Naghat, commands 5000 orcs
Shurkul, commands 5000 orcs
Urim, commands 4000 orcs
Yam, commands 3500 orcs
Largash, commands 3000 orcs

  • Divided into companies of about 100 orcs each, led by an experienced chief
  • Each company also has 6 runners, whose task is tracking and espionage

Ordinary orcs:

  • Self-centered hedonists. They just want to mate, raid, fight, and eat. They'll stab you in the back given the chance if it benefits them. They like to complain.
  • "Your ass freezes in the mountains"
  • Beasts of burden: rothé
  • Stubborn, greedy, selfish.
  • Lazy, but hardworking if the chief is competent. Practical. Proud of their rank.
  • Violent and fearful. Constant infighting among themselves.
  • Females live in isolated areas deep within the earth or in harems. Society can rebuild its strength within a few generations from a situation where the tribe has lost most of its warriors, as long as the females remain.
    The sky is often gray and overcast. Almost constant smoke rises from the middle of the area, from many holes cutting through the terrain, serving as chimneys for the metal forges deep underground. The terrain is a dirty gray, blackened, and in many areas the forest has been cut down entirely. Stumps dot the landscape. Here and there one can see the ancient ruins of manors plundered long ago.

Orc Politics
Obould is a king acknowledged by all, holding clear supreme authority over the region. That doesn't mean all the chiefs are satisfied. Duluk, Naghat, and Urim form their own small bloc within Obould's realm. Together they believe Obould is too weak, since they haven't carried out any major raids in years, nor attacked Sundabar. They know there are many of them, and that, far to the north, an even greater orc army is gathering to head south.
