Khelb
A small village at the western end of the Silverymoon Pass. In winter, the pass isn't passable much beyond this village, and it usually closes up in the first half of December.
The village is led by Baron Aedan Talbot, a young baron whose father died quite recently. Aedan doesn't yet believe he measures up to his father, and is a bit lost, relying on his father's advisors. He is nevertheless confident and dreams of becoming a future figure of historical note, someone everyone reads about. But because he's insecure, he acts on impulse and behaves like a weathervane, trying to guess at everything and often guessing wrong. But because he's a lord, he's of course always right even when he's wrong.
The village's most popular inn is the Purple Hawk. It's run by Kenwyn Trevanion, who is also in Rinki's service. The inn's cellar houses a gambling den. Main livelihood: mining south of town. The mines produce salt, tin, and copper.
The village has a few carpenters and one blacksmith. For larger needs, it's easiest to go shopping in Silverymoon.
