The Grand Duchy of Silverymoon. The duchy is ruled by Grand Duke Frederick Tempest. He is about 60 years old.
The Grand Duchy is one of the wealthiest states in the Silver Marches. It draws funds from the Saltrun and Khelb salt mines as well as from agriculture. Trade conducted along the Rauvin River is also a significant source of income. The main source of income, however, is the Rimehill silver mine.

Silverymoon is one of the North's most important cities and is its center of learning. The city is ancient and very beautiful, full of ancient trees, parks, and tall towers. Curving lines are visible everywhere in the architecture.

The Grand Duke has his own extremely loyal bodyguard, consisting mainly of hired, well-trained barbarian soldiers. They are loyal unto death.
