Rauvincross

Rauvincross is a small village south of Sundabar, about a day's journey away, and is the only crossing point of the Rauvin River before the Nether Mountains. The village lies right at the northern end of the Moon Pass, through which a small path runs south toward the Rauvin River valley to Jalanthar.

The river's current is swift, and the village marks the only easy crossing point over the river south of Sundabar.

The Moon Pass is an ancient pass that cuts the Nether Mountains into an eastern and western side. The pass is notoriously dangerous, since it's quite difficult to traverse. Constant meltwater keeps reshaping the paths, sometimes opening large, ancient chasms into the void in the mountainside. Here and there, the remains of past travelers can be seen.

In winter, however, the pass is the safest and shortest route from Sundabar to Everlund and Silverymoon.
