Sage's Archive Library

The Sages' Archive is located in the southern part of Silverymoon, near the Rauvin River, the Moonbridge, and the Watchful Order's headquarters. The building is a massive, five-story, U-shaped stone house. Besides being a library, the building also serves as a temple of Deneir.

The current librarian is Haliver. He has six scribes assisting him. Haliver is usually downstairs in the main hall, receiving visitors.

The first and second floors have open reading rooms, where it's possible to read popular literature. The first floor also relays news arriving from all across Faerûn.
The first floor also houses research rooms, to which the priests tending the library deliver requested books, while also making sure that books aren't copied.

The third through fifth floors contain workrooms for the archive's scribes, illustrators, and bookbinders. There are also offices there where sages can be met (but only by appointment), at a cost of 50gp per hour of consultation. Consultation includes guidance on which books or other sages are worth consulting, or a simple identification. The price for an answer to a very difficult question is 500gp.

The actual library is located deep underground, where there are five levels. Only Haliver, his assistants, and the Watchful Order's Cristofur have access there.
