Winter's Edge

A small, somewhat withering country village on the Surbrin River. The village was once an important trading post between Mithral Hall and Silverymoon, but with the decline of trade, farming, fishing, and fur trapping are the village's most important livelihoods.

Recently the village was the target of a raid by a large orc patrol. They managed to surprise the villagers in the dark of night. A large horde of orcs moved across the frozen river and managed to raid and burn dozens of farms around the village. A hastily assembled guard, however, managed to hold its own just enough that the village was spared worse destruction.

A plea for help was sent from the village to High Hold, which is run by Silverymoon's Grand Duke's son, Artin.
